27th Annual Community Banking Week in Illinois
4/5/2018
This week is The Community Bankers Association of Illinois 27th Annual ‘Illinois Community Banking Week,’ which coincides with National Community Banking Month in April.
The purpose of Illinois Community Banking Week is to highlight the importance of local hometown community banking. At Warren-Boynton State Bank, we are extremely proud of our community roots having established our first branch in New Berlin, Illinois, in 1877 and have since expanded in Springfield, and more recently Modesto and Palmyra.
Community banks, like ours, build stronger communities with the services we provide – improving the banking relationship with customers, their families, and their businesses.
We also pride ourselves on giving back to the community and to those most in need. Our efforts to support the community, through donations, sponsorships or volunteer work are often led by our staff. There are members of our team that are very hands-on when it comes to the communities in which we serve from fundraising to being directors of boards for charities and nonprofits. We value, deeply, the communities in which we operate and thank them for their ongoing support.
