National Small Business Week
5/3/2018
Small Business Week - April 29 to May 5, 2018 - provides an opportunity to recognize the importance that small, local, independent businesses play in our community.
Small Business Week, an annual event organized by the US Small Business Administration, reminds us that small businesses not only make a vital contribution to the economy, but also provide job growth, drive innovation, and increase healthy competition.
There are a number of benefits of supporting a small business. First and foremost you are improving the local economy; significantly more money stays in the community when you shop at small businesses. Local business owners also have the incentive to support other local businesses using local establishments for both business and personal reasons. When you shop at a small business you come to know the people behind it; the entrepreneurs, innovators, and founders of the service and/or products. Small businesses provide individualism in communities. No small business is the same because it incorporates so much of the character of its creator. A small business owner has a vested interest in the success of his or her business; often that results in better customer service and in turn drives customer loyalty. Hand-in-hand with an improved customer service experience is a more personalized experience.
At Warren-Boynton State Bank we like to work with businesses of all sizes in our communities of Springfield, New Berlin, Palmyra, and Modesto. We love to work with small business owners and entrepreneurs; to see them succeed and give back to our communities.
We appreciate the efforts of small businesses and the impact they have on the local economy and community.
Happy Small Business Week!
